Of all the interesting blogs I have read, this one caught my eye the most. Personally, my family has been going through a lot of changes that we have been trying to deal with all at once. My sister is applying for jobs out of state, I am a new Kent State student trying to get used to be off on my own for the first time, my grandparents's health are slowing decreasing, which we are all helping with, and my dad and brother are going to be selling our house in the next few months and moving. These websites have helped because coping with change is severely important. If you don't, you're eventually going to get overwhelmed with everything and break down. I have discussed with my family some of the things I have taken from the websites listed above, and we are taking small steps everyday to better adjust ourselves to the changes. Thank you!

DeleteI think these two websites were great resources to help any family go through a major change and they helped give valuable skills to get through these times. My family has been going through many changes as well, out of my siblings my one sister went to Maryland for pharmacy school and I have moved to Kent for my undergrad, it has been a different change for my family because we have always been together. These websites give you ways to avoid the harmful effects of stress while valuing life as a whole. Also they give you ways to adapt to the changes, which is what my family has been doing, they have been adapting to the different ways of life that is going to be with two children away for college. Managing stress is important due to the many ways it could harm your way of living, if it is not handled in the correct manner. These tips have been very helpful for my family and can also help in the long run as well.
ReplyDeleteYou always can share these to your family and friends:)
DeleteBoth of these websites were such useful tools for my family and I. I understand that life is pretty much constant change and stress. Especially if one is a college student working towards a goal. There are many different levels of stress. A 40 year old working parent has a different type of stress than at 18 year old freshman in college. The two websites helped my family out because it gave us some very easy advice and tips of how to cope/manage certain things such as stress or change. My mom being a single parent and sending two of her only kids to college may be a tough thing to deal with. She has been doing very well and got plenty of helpful advice on these websites. She is more active with work, working out, and always keeping close contact with us via texting to keep her happy. Coping with change isn't necessarily a bad thing, because one can learn a lot about it. Stress is always a tough thing people live with daily. Having a goal daily, time management, and achieving those goals is a tremendous way to cope with daily stress. Eating well, sleeping, and working out can be a wonderful foundation as well. Both of these articles have had a great impact on my family and I, and can also be used for future reference.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it:) thanks!
DeleteI think that both of these websites are very helpful in coping with stress. My family actually just went through a very stressful time with losing my grandmother who lived with us. Some of the tips that they gave really could have come in handy when all of this was going on. Although we did get through it, this would have been great help. I ended up sending this websites to my mom who found great help from them. She is now basically alone at home with my sister and I being away at college, and my dad traveling with his job. It was hard for her at the beginning but it is now getting easier to cope with the stress that comes with living alone.

DeleteBoth of these sites are great for people who need help coping with stress. I started my first year here at Kent. It was a big adjustment from living three hours away and not seeing my family and friends on a regular basis. I talked to all of them on the phone a lot. It helped, but it wasn't the same. I wish I knew these tips six months ago, but I will use them now because my grandma recently had a heart attack and my mom is having knee surgery in the next few weeks. My mom is going to be under stress because she is going to have to follow the doctors rules and rest. She is always doing something, so this is going to make her frustrated. All of us in the family will help her get through this. These sites can help anyone deal with stress in a healthy positive way, avoiding all the negative outcomes.
